Which is outstanding. Both the stack and G5 can handle bass really well and both produce good mids/vocals. Oct 15, 2023 · I have the E50 DAC and actually prefer the sound of the DAC in my Denon X3700 avr streaming Tidal from my NVidia Shield Pro , I purchase the E50 as I just wanted to try an external quality DAC to see for myself and it ended up a waste of money as I never use it but if you do end up getting the E70 DAC report back if you hear any improvements. The G5 has a slightly brighter sound signature in the treble but when I A/B the two, I find the G5 adds enough sparkle in the treble to come off sounding better detailed. Compared to the Topping E70 Velvet, the E70 is somewhat darker sounding, the E70 Velvet feels more open, more airy, and reveals a bit more about what's going on in the recording in those upper parts Takeaway: The Topping E70 is a really good DAC for the price because it has excellent sound quality, great staging capabilities, and good dynamics.
